Great article in the Guardian. And hooray to those who declare their intent to keep up the pressure through “the festive period”. Politicians are so good at making things difficult for citizens. It’s happening here, too. My, I can be irritated sometimes. 😉

“…. Politicians are so good at making things difficult for citizens….” – ain’t that the truth! When George Orwell invented the term ‘doublespeak’ he was right on the money. Local politicians in particular seem to be experts at saying one thing publicly whilst busily promoting its opposite in practice….
